ReScent is a home scent-making concept developed from the team project ScrapScent Lab. It explores citrus peel as a scent resource through a proposed making unit, preformed ceramic tiles and a batch note, connecting occasional making with everyday placement and personal expression.
Connect occasional scent making with simple everyday use while keeping the scent source, extraction process and separate carrier clearly defined. The design also explores handling and replacing a tile with less contact with its scented surface.

THE APPROACH
How the idea was tested.
I contributed to the shared concept ideation and exterior form decisions, then developed the portfolio through Rhino modelling, KeyShot rendering and AI-generated imagery. Exterior form studies, an assembly model, a removable tile holder and a make–name–place storyboard communicate the proposed experience. The persona is a design assumption; no interviews were conducted.

CURRENT OUTCOME
Where the project stands.
A concept design and digital development of the making unit and tile holder. Internal integration and oil separation/recovery remain unresolved; performance, environmental benefit and user experience have not been tested. The original team entry ScrapScent Lab received Third Prize in the Zhejiang Division of the 2026 Milan Design Week competition; ReScent is a later portfolio development.
